The instructor will provide students with information on key concepts used by banks for assessing and extending credit to business clients. Discussion will also include how a business leader can best leverage assets in relation to banking guidelines. Information will focus on credit options, treasury management, and deposit options. This course consists of 4 hours of classroom training and offers the student an introduction into basics of banking options for business.

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the concepts and principles of contract law for students who will be applying this knowledge in the marketplace, with particular references to Georgia law and the Uniform Commercial Code. Emphasis will be on illustrations of real-world contract disputes that contributed to the development of modern law, in an effort to expose the student to the most common hazards and pitfalls in contractual relations, as well as teach the student how to recognize and avoid potential risks while enforcing contract rights. The course structure consists of 8 hours of classroom training and offers the student an introduction into business contract law for the real world.

This course provides hands on training in reading and understanding construction plans and specifications. Instructors will prepare students to dig through the details and specification sections to help understand the design intent, note requirements for bid preparation, and minimize errors in construction and installation. The course structure consists of 8 hours of classroom training with lab / test time reviewing actual plans and specifications.

This course provides a basic understanding of LED lighting technology, its history and development, and its current application in the architectural and entertainment lighting industries. The instructor will prepare students by studying real world examples of LED lighting applications, the environmental impact LEDs are having on today's society, along with the opportunity to ask questions from instructors who utilize LED technology on a day to day basis. Emphasis will be in the use and application of LED lighting, to recognize the advantages and disadvantages of LED over traditional lighting sources, and to dispel the many myths that surround this technology. This course structure consists of 4 hours of classroom training and offers the student a chance to explore many creative applications of this non-traditional lighting source.

Instructors will walk students through relevant sections of codes and regulations including OSHA, ADA, IBC, IRC, etc. The course structure consists of 8 hours of classroom training with a review test to reinforce important material.

This course provides an introduction into structures, structural members, and structural connections. Beginning with loads and load paths, instructors will walk students through how members are loaded, how they behave, and how they connect. Emphasis will be placed on how to take this information into construction / architecture / and general commercial work to help understand how buildings and other structures go together. Can I remove that wall or cut into that beam?...time to get an answer and find out why. The course consists of 16 hours of classroom training and offers the student an introduction into structures for non-engineers.

This course provides an overview of the most common safety issues encountered in commercial construction. Instructors will prepare students with an understanding of many types of dangers inherent to modern construction sites, and then discuss specific equipment, means and methods, and techniques for recognizing and addressing the dangers. Emphasis will be in the safety concerns which are most often cited in on-the-job injuries, in an effort to provide a safer construction working environment. The course structure consists of 8 hours of classroom training and offers the student an introduction into safety issues in many facets of commercial construction.

This course provides an introduction to marketing strategy, marketing planning, and effective budgeting techniques for small business owners. Beginning with efficient marketing planning, instructors will guide students into a process based system which focuses on how to plan, budget, and execute the most effective marketing campaigns. An emphasis will be on how to apply this information and strategically plan for your specific business, as well as how to avoid the most common mistakes made in small business marketing. Discussion will also include the importance in creating a consistent marketing approach, and the importance of identifying the most specific targets for your business. This course consists of 6 hours of classroom training and interaction and will offer the student an introduction to marketing strategy for small business.

This two-day training course provides an in-depth look at the techniques, skills, and knowledge necessary to excel in a professional sales environment. A primary focus will be on client/consumer behavior, how to make an effective sales pitch, and general negotiation skills. The instructor will aggressively challenge students on topics including how to overcome objections, body language habits, proper sales research techniques, and organizational skills. Discussion will also include how to utilize effective contact methods, the importance of follow-ups, and techniques to project confidence in sales communication. Students will be asked to complete challenges which will be graded and critiqued by the instructors, and will receive a certificate upon completion. This course consists of 16 hours of training and interactive exercises and will offer students an opportunity to learn and develop the necessary skills to succeed in professional sales.
